Abstract:
This session will showcase ways that Starfish, Elevate, and related technologies are being used to support students at Penn State. Starfish features include remote drop-in kiosks, referrals, success plans, and an expansive group of individuals connected to students and each other. Presenters will demonstrate how students experience Starfish, how academic advisers can practically use technologies to improve student support, and provide examples of improved cross-unit collaboration. Additionally, in an interactive component of the session, attendees and presenters will collaborate to identify areas where improved technology could solve local process problems in academic advising.
