​​So, you’ve been asked for data about your students. What are you going to do? What information is important to tell the story you need to tell? As an advisor grows professionally, many offices ask them to improve and develop their use of data. Sometimes the best way to start building confidence with data is to begin small and then grow. We (the presenters) use data to support big institutional initiatives, but you can use even simple data to guide changes that will benefit you, your fellow advisors, and your students. We will discuss ways to gather, analyze, and present data at various levels of an advisors’ career and how advisors can incorporate that data into policies or suggestions that benefit their stakeholders.​
