News:

Don’t have an appointment before your enrollment date?

It’s OK, you can still schedule your classes on your enrollment date. Use the guidelines and resources here to make your initial schedule: https://dus.psu.edu/choose-your-courses

Schedule an appointment with your assigned adviser, even if that appointment is after your enrollment date. During your appointment, you and your adviser will identify any needed alterations. You have until the end of the drop/add period next semester to fine-tune your schedule.

Choosing a Minor

You know that choosing your major is an important decision in your college career; it will shape your education and experiences during your time at Penn State and beyond. But what about your choice of a college minor? Do minors matter? Minors have many benefits, and are great way to enhance your education and explore a new subject. When thinking about your minor choice, it is important to reflect on your goals, interests, and how your minor will complement your major coursework. In addition, some majors at Penn State require a minor. To search Penn State minors, take a look at the Undergraduate Bulletin for inspiration, and visit with your adviser to talk about planning a minor!

Major Fair

University Park

The annual Major Fair will be held on Wednesday, March 28 from 4–7 p.m. in Findlay Commons, East Halls. The Major Fair gives students an opportunity to learn about majors, minors, and certificate programs at University Park. Open to all undergraduates, the fair features information tables, free material and giveaways, a chance to connect with representatives of different majors and ask questions, and the opportunity to find out where and how to meet with academic advisers in all colleges. The Major Fair is a great way for students to learn about ways to relate their interests to academic options at Penn State. For additional details, contact Brittany Baker, Academic Adviser/Program Coordinator, at bkb21@psu.edu or 814-865-7576.

Stand for State: Student Bias and Discrimination Training

University Park

At Stand for State, we know that even though many people have experienced bias and discrimination, it's still hard to know what you can do when you see it unfolding in front of you.

In that context, we developed a training that allows people to share their personal connections to the issue, explore the things that make it difficult to take action, and practice interrupting using scenarios.

Our next training for students will be held on March 27th
