Hi DUS Students!
My name is John Wozniak, and I’m your representative in the University Park Undergraduate Association (UPUA), Penn State’s student government. I also serve as the University Library Liaison, where I share student perspectives and concerns with library faculty. In these roles, I advocate for student academic rights in General Assembly and committee meetings.
A bit about me: I am a second-year student pursuing concurrent majors in Finance and Political Science with a minor in Economics. On campus, I am a Merchandise Captain for THON and a member of the Aviation Society. Last semester, I also advocated in Harrisburg for increased state funding for Penn State, and the state agreed to begin a performance-based funding model expected to add $4 million to the university’s budget.
If you’re a first-year student, welcome to University Park. You are going to have an amazing experience here. Whether you are undecided or still exploring a few possible paths, DUS is the perfect place to discover everything Penn State has to offer. It has helped me better understand the resources and tools available to support my education and make the most of my time here.
