News:
Thinking About Summer Courses?

Are you looking to get ahead or stay on track with your studies this summer? Taking summer courses is a great way to remain academically productive. Penn State offers a wide variety of courses across three summer sessions – Maymester, Summer Session I, and Summer Session II. Students can enroll in courses at any Penn State campus during the summer, including World Campus. Taking a course at your local campus could also be an option. Talk with your adviser to start planning your summer today!

How Do I Know When to Schedule?

Now is a great time to ask yourself that question. DUS students will schedule for fall in early- to mid-April with the exception of priority (early) registration for some (veteransathletesSchreyer Scholars, and students with disabilities).

How to determine your registration date:

1) Typically students with more credits register first; registration dates are determined by adding your total credits earned to the credits on your current schedule.

2) There are two ways to look up your date to register: checking the Registration Timetable and looking at your LionPATH Student Center for Enrollment Dates.

3) You can begin enrolling in classes at 12:00 a.m. on your day to schedule.

Make sure you schedule an appointment with your adviser to plan for next semester and beyond. Preparation is the key to success!

DUS UPUA Representative
University Park

Light skinned college aged female wearing a black suit jacket over a blue shirt. Hello, my name is Ava Phillips!

I am your DUS student government representative in University Park Undergraduate Association (UPUA).  I am a first-year DUS student with an intended double major in accounting and political science. During my time at Penn State, I have become involved in Women in Business, Accounting Society, the Panhellenic community, and UPUA.  As your DUS representative, I have been working with  DUS’ Assistant Directors to build and enhance key DUS programing.  Stay tuned to the DUS News and the DUS Instagram page for details on this later this spring. Hint: it’ll help you confirm your major.

With all of that being said, I want to hear from you!  It is an honor to represent you and I want to ensure I am doing it to the best of my ability.  Please email me with any thoughts, concerns, or questions you may have regarding DUS or UPUA at acp5655@psu.edu.

The Presidential Leadership Academy (PLA) is a three-year leadership development opportunity for a select group of students. As Academy participants, students develop leadership fundamentals to thrive in an environment in which multiple dimensions of issues are explored, diverse viewpoints are welcomed and heard, and a fully informed and respectful discourse ensues. A highlight of the Academy is a two-credit introductory seminar led by Penn State's President.

This is a great opportunity to learn more about the PLA (including the application process) and meet current students and the director of the Academy. Deadline to apply is February 25, 2022.
