Fraudulent "tutoring" services offered through Canvas

Someone has been sending messages through the Penn State Canvas system offering tutoring services, this is not connected to Penn State. Do not provide bank account information or your Penn State login information to them. If you receive suspicious emails about a tutoring through Canvas, please alert your instructor.

Summer Opportunities

With summer fast approaching, you may be thinking more about how you are going to spend your time over the next three months. Local summer internships, part-time jobs, and volunteer work are great ways to remain productive and get experience over the summer, all while building up your bank of transferable skills. To learn more about how to obtain local summer internships, part-time jobs, and volunteer work, Career Services Drop-In Counseling is a great resource! Career Services at the campuses is also available to assist you!

Be a Peer Research Consultant

Want an interesting part-time job for the fall? Consider becoming a Peer Research Consultant at the Penn State University Libraries! You'd be working as part of the new Search Bar, a suite of peer-to-peer services, including writing tutors, tech tutors, and peer research consultants (PRCs). This is a great opportunity to not only learn the ins and outs of conducting library research, but also to be able to teach peers new skills, and ultimately, get better at doing research. Free Wellness Services Available
University Park

Health Promotion and Wellness is now offering free Wellness Services for students. The services are designed to help students increase knowledge and learn new skills that contribute to healthy behaviors and academic success.  Services are available for:

  • Financial Wellness
  • Healthy Relationships and Sexual Health
  • Nutrition/Healthy Eating
  • Physical Activity
  • Sleep
  • Stress (Relaxation and Time Management)

Each service includes three 1-hour sessions and are held in the Wellness Suite, Room 20 IM Building. Trained peer educators deliver the services. Schedule an appointment by calling 814-863-0461 or by using the myUHS page. For students who are unable to make it to University Park, call in appointments as well as Skype/Zoom appointments are available.
