The Division of Undergraduate Studies will award two Bunton-Waller Fellowship and five Bunton-Waller Merit awards in the 2022-2023 school year. Bunton-Waller Fellowship and Merit Awards are open to incoming first-year students only. Successful applicants will demonstrate academic potential and enhance the broad and diverse student population at Penn State.

Students selected as a Bunton-Waller Fellow or Merit Award recipient must submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and be eligible to receive Title IV aid. All applicants will receive holistic review with special attention being paid to the strength of writing, financial need, and the overall quality of the application.
