Summer 2015 - I’m new to Penn State, but my parents are proud alum!
I am a passionate life-long learner and educator.

I have a 15-pound Brussels Griffon (dog) that I rescued from an animal shelter in Memphis, TN. She’s so funny – she makes everyone laugh! Her best trick is a walking handstand on her front paws.

My favorite place I have traveled is Spain! I lived in Malaga for five months in college and traveled to many of the different regions in Spain. One of my favorite trips was to Pamplona for the Festival de San Fermin, also known as the Running of the Bulls. (I watched from behind the fence; no running with bulls for me!)

Items on my Bucket List include climbing Machu Picchu in Peru, learning to play the piano, running a half-marathon, and learning how to make my own clothing on my sewing machine.

In my spare time I enjoy exercising, DIY projects from Pinterest, and trying new restaurants with my husband.

You may not know this about me, but I was in an a cappella musical group in college. The experience was nothing like the movie Pitch Perfect but I did meet the man I would marry! My husband and I were both the leaders of our two groups and organized many campus-wide a cappella events together. Although we’re no longer on stage, we still enjoy the performing arts together from the audience.

Something someone told me that I still live by today: Be the best version of you.

I love yoga. At first I was one of those athletes (a recreational runner) that thought I wouldn’t enjoy yoga because “I’m not flexible” and “I like cardio.” Then I took a Power Vinyasa Yoga class that humbled me athletically and personally. Practicing yoga has transformed my personal and work life, and I believe that everybody and every body can benefit from regular practice. Namaste.
