Attend an Applying to Law School Session

This session is designed for juniors and seniors who are getting ready to apply to law school. First- and second-year students who have attended a Pre-Law Orientation Session are also invited to attend.  Topics covered in the Applying to Law School Session include:

  • Introduction to the Law School Admissions Test (LSAT)
  • Strategies and options for LSAT preparation
  • Review of law school application timeline
  • Using to apply to law school
  • Drafting personal statements/diversity statements/résumés/addenda
  • Obtaining strong letters of recommendation
  • Selecting/evaluating law schools (brief intro to this topic)
  • Financing law school (brief intro to this topic)
  • Pre-Law Advising resources

Spring 2020 Applying to Law School Session dates:

  • February 4, 2020 (Tuesday): 4:30 p.m.  to 5:30 p.m. in 311 Boucke Building
  • March 20, 2020 (Friday): 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. in Zoom 
  • April 22, 2020 (Wednesday): 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. in Zoom 

Registration is required.  Please check your class schedule before registering for a session.

If, after registering, you find that you can no longer attend your scheduled Applying to Law School Session, please call the Division of Undergraduate Studies at 814-865-7576 and cancel so that we can offer your seat to another student.
