Abstract:

Advising professionals are often stretched thin across competing priorities, especially during peak periods of the academic year. This session presents aa yearly, weekly, and daily framework for how to use slow periods for strategic process improvements, streamline workflows during peak times, and build sustainable daily habits that preserve energy and focus.  We’ll also  emphasize the importance of setting professional boundaries and using periods of downtime to prevent burnout an often-overlooked aspect of productivity.
Open to advisors at all experience levels, this interactive session includes a brief reflection activity where participants will identify actionable strategies to implement in their own roles. Attendees will leave with practical tools, tech recommendations, and a clearer mindset for balancing responsiveness with intention.
