Corporate Communications Option
Description of the major
The Bachelor of Arts in Communications degree addresses the rapid development of clearly articulated employer needs in digital technologies that have resulted from the unprecedented media convergence in technology, economy, and structure.
Using an integrated program model, this degree branches outside the traditional communications curriculum and draws from appropriate courses in the disciplines of information sciences and technology, arts and sciences, English, and business.
The program offers two options: Journalism and Corporate Communications. Both options require students to develop strong written and verbal communication skills and include a strong emphasis on digital-age technology such as the Internet.
