Information Session for Summer 2023 Global Study and Experience Programs

Are you interested in building intercultural competence? Do you hope to live and/or teach abroad in the future? Do you want to learn another language and discuss global issues with university students from another country? Attend the summer program info session.

Option # 1: Teaching ESL Certificate program with an Ecuador Immersion Experience, complete a teaching certificate during Spring and Summer sessions including 5 weeks of practice teaching in Ecuador! Please apply by December 8, 2022.

Option # 2: Maymester in Mexico:  Language, Culture and Community-Based Learning, a faculty led program to Oaxaca, Mexico offers global experience, multilingual learning and partnerships with Mexican students. Please apply by February 1, 2023.

  • Both programs are open to university students in all colleges and programs of study. 
  • No prior Spanish proficiency required. 
  • Courses meet both General Ed, Education, and TESOL minor program requirements 
  • Spring semester start date with a hybrid course in the Spring semester and continuing with international experience in summer sessions.
