I enjoy watching students develop both personally and professionally as they navigate through their academic journey. Through my experiences over the years, I have amassed quite a bit of knowledge from the student, faculty, and adviser perspectives - I love that I can share this information to help students make informed decisions so that they can have a meaningful academic experience.

The most unusual thing in my office is a poster based on the American Gothic painting with hidden microbiology images.

My favorite job growing up was working as a Red Cross swimming aide and instructor during the summer months.

In my spare time, I enjoy gardening and spending time with my family.

You may not know this about me, but I worked in a jewelry store during my junior/senior high school years and early years of college.  I engraved and stocked jewelry, assisted customers, and completed daily business reports.

To satisfy my sweet tooth, I enjoy chocolate and peanut butter or ice cream.  Thankfully, the Berkey Creamery isn’t too far from my office!

My favorite things to eat are chicken piccata, prime rib, and dessert.

My childhood dream was to someday live in a Scottish castle where I would be surrounded by the sound of bagpipes!

The game show I would win big on would be Jeopardy!
