Im Lotus, and I come from Shanghai, China. Im a junior now majoring in both Marketing and Economics with a minor in International Business.
I entered Penn State with Economics in mind, but then I realized I wanted to explore more in the business world. DUS became the best choice for me, as I would be able to take any course I was interested in. My adviser, Diane, helped me a lot on my way to finding my real interest. She was also the person I turned to when I had confusion in my life. I was under great pressure at the end of my sophomore year before deciding on my major. I was struggling between Marketing and Supply Chain, between a major I was interested in and a major with what I thought would make it easier to find jobs. Diane listened to my concerns and offered me related resources as well as referred me to the schools Career Services Center for more information. Im now a Marketing student, and I enjoy my studies in the major so far. I really appreciate what DUS did for me and Im glad that I experienced DUS as part of my college life.
