Georganne Watson
I grew up in Lititz, Pennsylvania, in the heart of Amish country. I earned a bachelor of arts degree in education at the University of Kentucky, where I also ran cross country and track for the Wildcats. This provided me with the opportunity to travel, as I thoroughly enjoy going to new places and meeting new people across the country. While I was working on a master’s degree in education at Lock Haven University, I also served as a graduate assistant in the role of director of intramural athletics. During this time, I discovered I really enjoyed working with college students and became interested in academic advising. I applied to work with the First-Year Testing, Consulting, and Advising Program (FTCAP) during summer 2010 and 2011. After my FTCAP experience, I was offered the opportunity to become a Division of Undergraduate Studies adviser. I am very excited to work with students and help them discover their interests and decide what to study. In my free time, I enjoy running, watching college football, playing with my dog Jasper and two cats Sebastian and Oliver, and, of course, cheering for UK basketball.
