I consider Lock Haven, Pennsylvania, my hometown, but State College is home.
My working career started at Penn State in the Admissions office, where I put in two years as an admissions counselor. I then moved to the College of the Liberal Arts and worked for almost ten years as an academic adviser. To add a little twist to my professional life, I went to the Finger Lakes School of Massage and became a licensed massage therapist, then took on the role as that school's registrar, assisting incoming students through the admissions process and helping them with funding. As often happens, I have come full circle. I find myself back home and working as an academic adviser for the Division of Undergraduate Studies.
My favorite pastime is trail running in the mountains with my wife Beth and our Golden Retriever Arlo. I also love cross-country skiing, Ultimate Frisbee, motorcycling, and just plain wallowing in the outdoors.
